This made me wonder about the antiquated āroleā of FLOTUS. It is an unpaid position that each wife of the President simply inherits. How much effort are we supposed expect from such a role? Is First Lady a political position? Are we expecting too much from First Ladies?

Iām not sure how to articulate this, while itās true that she was a former model, that doesnāt mean sheās less of a person or undeserving of praise when she has done something well. It just feels disparaging to me. Like she doesnāt have value because of her chosen profession. Had she been First Lady to any other President, the commentary would be different. Team FLOTUS put together beautiful event in spite of Trumpās strange behavior. Lol.
