The labels coming to matter less could turn out to be a good outcome of what we’re currently going through. The optimist in me wants to think so, anyway.
Up or down votes! That’s what counts after 2017. I agree with Howard Dean’s statements. We need new blood, new ideas as Dems. I am sick of sycophants willing to compromise for table scraps. We need progressive champions with titanium spines.

I never would have thought of you as “center right” by that post. I really have a lot to learn. I 'm a lefty, but this year taught me these labels have to stop mattering. The only ones that matter are up and down.

Thank you for this. My in-laws are former working-class, center right, Catholic, and they’re “digging in”. Would love to have heard a tiny fraction of the compassion that you expressed.
