Somebody posted this in a discussion group I am in, uncertain of the meaning and kind of leery. Somebody else said they felt it had some sort of white supremacist message. I took one look at it and sighed because I had to inform them that the eagle and the snake are from the coat of arms of Mexico. I had thought this common knowledge. It apparently is not.

No. Nope. Uh uh. Calling BS right now.

edit: sigh.

edit v2.0: Okay, the link misrepresents this a bit. The article linked cites a Vice article that provides a whole bunch of context. It’s just as stupid, but it’s stupid at a different group of people.

From the Vice article:

To understand why this idiotic thing happened in the first place, and why there are several groups online dedicated to posting pictures of gun owners pointing a loaded weapon at their dick besides the Facebook group in question, you need to understand the beef raging between online gun people.

“Trigger discipline” is a basic gun safety measure drilled into people when they’re learning about firearms. Basic safety says that you always keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot, and that you point it away from yourself and other people unless you mean to shoot them. Shitposters love taking pictures of a loaded gun pointed at their groin, finger hovering just above the trigger, to irritate responsible gun owners.

So yeah. Really fucking stupid, but not about “the libs.”

Before and after photographs of newly renovated White House Rose Garden:

Image

Melania’s renovated Rose Garden is a metaphor for what Trump has done to this country.

Removed all the well established beautiful things, took out all the color, and turned it all white, and charged the American tax payer way to much to do it.

I just want to acknowledge that the brightly colored flowers are tulips and they only bloom in the spring. It is now August, so those flowers wouldn’t be in bloom even if Mrs. Trump had kept them. :woman_shrugging:t2:

Trust me I know tulips, we had a big tulip festival where I grew up.
