Day 1380

1/ The U.S. set another pandemic record with 90,456 new COVID-19 cases reported in a single day – set hours after the U.S. logged its 9 millionth coronavirus case. The country has reported more than 540,000 new coronavirus cases in the past week – the most for any seven-day period since July. Cases are on the rise in every swing state before Election Day and 14 states recorded all-time highs in new cases this week – the most of the pandemic. Trump, meanwhile, has continued to baselessly claim that “we are rounding the turn” on the pandemic. Pence, who chairs the White House’s coronavirus task force, hasn’t attended his own COVID-19 planning calls with all 50 governors in over a month. @matt Sir, I think you added an extra 900,000 to the total number of U.S. cases under the Dept. of “We Have It Totally Under Control.” section.

This is blatantly illegal, no? Using an official .gov for campaign propaganda, something something hatch act?

Doh! You’re right. Updating now. Thanks!

I really don’t know anymore :man_facepalming:

Certainly doesn’t seem appropriate…

With days to go before the final election day, Trump reaches a new height of xenophobia:

This is the work of the Remembrance Project, which claims to advocate on behalf of the families of victims of violence and tragedy but grossly misrepresents the level of crime committed by immigrants, routinely demonizes immigrants as “invaders,” and has a record of working with white nationalists.

In 2013, founder Maria Espinoza announced the first annual “National Day of Remembrance for Victims Killed by Illegal Aliens.” On her website Espinoza listed a number of “state directors” who were charged with organizing local events on that day with Stolen Lives Quits featuring Americans killed by undocumented immigrants.
