Great idea… @matt The news continues to drag us down…some off-the-wall bypasses are in order…to buoy not sink the crew here. :open_hands:

Donald Trump has a habit of jumbling up his words and misspelling things on Twitter, but it’s less common for him to make those sort of gaffes in public.

During a ceremony at the White House on Tuesday, honouring a Medal of Honor recipient for his service during the Iraq war, the president got a little confused about what someone was wearing.

Staff sergeant David Bellavia was receiving the award thanks to his courageous efforts in November 2004 during the second battle of Fallujah, where he single-handedly killed four insurgents and protected the lives of his squad members.

However, when recounting Bellavia’s endeavour, Trump misspoke and claimed that one of the insurgents that Ballavia killed was not only hiding in a wardrobe but he also wearing a wardrobe too.

Next, two more insurgents came out of hiding and fired at David. He returned fire, killing them both.

Then, a third assailant burst out of a wardrobe — wearing a wardrobe — and opened fire.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne denounced Trump’s unauthorized use of “Crazy Train” in a Twitter video mocking the 2020 Democratic primary candidates.

The video, posted Thursday morning, opens with footage of the technical difficulties that marred Wednesday’s first Democratic primary debate and pairs it with the intro to Osbourne’s 1980 hit. Eventually, the video fades to black and reemerges with footage of Trump walking up to a podium.

New York City mayor and 2020 presidential candidate mocked after Bill de Blasio quoted Che Guevara at Miami campaign stop.

" Hasta la victoria siempre!" de Blasio shouted, according to video taken by a CBS Miami reporter. That phrase, which translates to “Until victory, always!” or “Ever on to victory!” may sound nice, but unfortunately it’s well known because Guevara was famous for using it during the 1959 Cuban Revolution

President Donald Trump says he wants to inspect the heavily-fortified Korean demilitarized zone as an example of what a “real border” looks like.

Trump invited North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to meet him for a handshake at the DMZ. He praising the layers of barbed wire, mines and other security measures that form the armistice line between the two still-technically-warring Koreas.

Says Trump: “By the way, when you talk about a wall when you talk about a border, that’s what they call a border. Nobody goes through that border.”

He adds, “That’s called a real border.”

Trump made curtailing illegal immigration and building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border a central theme of his 2016 campaign, though he has struggled to fulfill his pledge.
